Parqo Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 26, 2026

Parqo values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Parqo (“Parqo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects your personal data when you use the Parqo website, application, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).

This Privacy Policy is intended to help you understand what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and what rights you have under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and other applicable Philippine laws and regulations.
Capitalized terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings given to them in the Parqo Terms of Service (“Terms”), unless otherwise stated.

By using the Platform, you acknowledge that your personal data will be processed as described in this Privacy Policy.

1. WHO THIS PRIVACY POLICY APPLIES TO

This Privacy Policy applies to individuals who use the Platform, including Owners who list Parking Spaces, Bookers who search for or book Parking Spaces, and other individuals who interact with or use the Platform.

2. PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT

The information we collect depends on how you use Parqo. We only collect information that we reasonably need for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

2.1 Account Information

When you create or use a Parqo account, we may collect your name, email address, mobile number, date of birth where needed to confirm that you meet Parqo’s age requirement, and information received from a third-party sign-in service such as Google if you choose to use that service. For mobile-number verification, we may send you a one-time verification code.

2.2 Booking and Vehicle Information

When you make or manage a Booking, we may collect vehicle plate number, make and model, color, Booking dates and times, and your stated relationship to the condominium or property where needed for building access. If you indicate you are a visitor, you may optionally provide the unit or tower you are attending; we collect this destination only (not the resident's name) to help coordinate building access. This information may be shared with the Owner or property management office when necessary to facilitate physical access to the Parking Space.

2.3 Parking Space and Listing Information

If you are an Owner, we may collect information about the Parking Space you list through the Platform, including, the Parking Space’s location, building, and address, parking slot or unit number, where applicable, availability and Booking periods, price and applicable fees, access instructions, applicable parking, building, or property rules, photographs or other information describing the Parking Space, and other information reasonably necessary to create, verify, and manage the Listing.

2.4 Payment and Payout Information

When you make a payment through the Platform, applicable payment information is processed by PayMongo or another payment provider used by Parqo. Parqo does not store your card details.

If you are entitled to receive a payout or refund, we may collect the bank account, GCash, Maya, or other payout information that you provide.

2.5 Information We Collect From Owners

If you list a Parking Space, you may be required to provide information and documents needed to verify your identity and your authority to list the Parking Space. This may include the Parking Space and building details, proof of ownership or lease, a government-issued ID, and, where applicable, a selfie holding your ID. This information is used to verify your Listing and your authority to offer the Parking Space through the Platform and to help prevent fraud or misuse.
We may also create and retain a one-way digital fingerprint (hash) of a government ID image to help detect repeated use of the same identification document across accounts.

Where you provide a selfie holding your ID, we may use an automated face-comparison service (Amazon Rekognition) to compare the face on the ID with the face in the selfie, as an aid to verification. The comparison produces only a similarity score; the images are not retained by that service, and a Parqo reviewer always makes the final decision.

If you are an Owner, we may also collect your Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) and related tax declarations. We use this information to comply with our tax withholding, remittance, and reporting obligations, including issuing withholding-tax certificates, and we may disclose it to the Bureau of Internal Revenue or other authorities as required by law.

2.6 Identity Verification for Bookers

We may require Bookers to provide identity-verification information, including a government-issued ID and, where applicable, a selfie holding the ID. This information may be used to verify a Booker’s identity and age, prevent fraud or misuse, and help maintain the security of the Platform.

We may also create and retain a unique digital identifier (hash) from the government ID image to help detect repeated use of the same identification document across multiple accounts and prevent fraud or misuse of the Platform.

2.7 Communications and Other Content

We may collect information you voluntarily provide through the Platform, including in-app messages, refund requests, photographs or other evidence submitted with a refund or dispute, other communications, and ratings or reviews.

2.8 Technical Information

We may collect basic information about your device and use of the Platform that is necessary to operate, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the Platform.\

2.9 Referral Information

If you take part in our referral programme, we generate a referral code for you and record it against your account. If you register as an Owner using someone else's referral code, we record the link between your account and the account of the person who referred you. That link is permanent and is used to work out whether a referral reward is due and how much it is.

Where we pay a referral reward, we may collect the payout details and Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) of the person receiving it, for the same tax and payout purposes described in sections 2.4 and 2.5.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL DATA

We may use personal data to create and manage accounts; facilitate Bookings; allow Owners and Bookers to coordinate; provide access information; process payments, refunds, and payouts; verify Owners, Listings, and Bookers; prevent fraud and abuse; investigate disputes and complaints; provide support; maintain and secure the Platform; comply with laws, regulations, court orders, and lawful government requests; and protect the rights, property, safety, and security of Parqo, its Users, and other persons.

We will not use your personal data for purposes incompatible with this Privacy Policy unless we have a lawful basis to do so and, where required, provide additional notice or obtain consent.

4. WHY WE ARE ALLOWED TO PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA

By using the Platform, you acknowledge that your personal data will be processed as described in this Privacy Policy. We process your personal data only when we have a lawful basis to do so. Depending on the circumstances, this may be because you have given your consent, the processing is necessary to provide the services you requested or perform our agreement with you, the processing is necessary for our legitimate business interests, or we are required to process the information to comply with applicable law. Where we rely on your consent, we will obtain it in the manner required by applicable law. You may withdraw your consent where permitted by law. Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew it, and we may continue to process your information where another lawful basis applies.

5. WHO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL DATA WITH

We do not sell your personal data to third parties, and based on the current Platform setup, we do not use it for third-party advertising.

5.1 Other Users Involved in a Booking

Certain information may be shared with the other party to a Booking. For example, the other party may see a shortened version of your name. For physical access and security, the Owner and, where required by the building, property management may receive your full name and vehicle plate number for the applicable Booking. If your Booking's reserved time has ended, the Owner may also see your mobile number so they can contact you about your vehicle. We only share information reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.

Some buildings require a guest's government-issued ID for gate access. Where a listing is in such a building, we will ask for your consent when you book; only if you agree, we may share your government-issued ID with that building's Property Management Office for the applicable Booking. This is provided as a secure link that requires no account to open, is limited to that building's PMO for that Booking, and expires a short time after the Booking. If you do not consent, you will not be able to book that particular listing. We do not share your ID for any other purpose.

5.2 Service Providers

We use third-party providers to help operate the Platform, including PayMongo for payment processing, Cloudinary for image hosting, Resend for email delivery, Semaphore for SMS delivery, Supabase for database and related infrastructure, Vercel for hosting and related infrastructure, and Amazon Web Services (Amazon Rekognition) for automated identity face-matching. Some of these providers may process your information outside the Philippines; where they do, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable law.

These providers may process personal data only as reasonably necessary to provide their services and subject to applicable contractual, legal, and privacy requirements.

5.3 Government Authorities and Other Parties

We may disclose personal data where required or permitted by law, including to comply with legal obligations or lawful government requests, investigate fraud or unlawful activity, protect rights or property, or address serious safety or security concerns.

5.4 Referral Programme

If you register as an Owner using another User's referral code, we tell that User (the referrer) that you joined using their code. To let them see the reward they have earned, we show them your name, whether you have a live Listing, the number and total gross value of your completed Bookings during your first month, and the resulting reward.

We do not share your contact details, payout or bank details, identity documents, Listing address, or details of individual Bookings with the referrer. The referrer sees only the totals described above, and only for your first month.

6. SHARING INFORMATION BETWEEN OWNERS AND BOOKERS

Parqo facilitates arrangements between Owners and Bookers. Because certain information is necessary to complete a Booking, some information may be made available to the Owner or Booker involved.

For example, an Owner may need a Booker’s name and vehicle plate number to identify the vehicle and facilitate access. A Booker may need information about the Parking Space and Owner to complete and use a Booking.

Users should only use personal information received through Parqo for legitimate purposes connected with the applicable Booking and must not misuse, disclose, or retain another person’s personal information in violation of applicable law.

7. HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR PERSONAL DATA

We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.

Current practices include: Booking communications are generally deleted approximately 90 days after the Booking unless a refund or dispute remains under review; refund and dispute evidence is generally deleted approximately 90 days after resolution, with only a minimal outcome record retained where necessary; transaction and financial records are retained as required by applicable tax, accounting, or other laws; Owner verification documents are retained while the Listing is active and for a reasonable period afterward; Booker verification documents are retained while the account is active and for a reasonable period afterward; and account information is retained while active and for as long as reasonably necessary afterward.

When personal data is no longer needed, we will delete, securely dispose of, or anonymize it, subject to applicable law.

8. HOW WE PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA

Parqo takes reasonable and appropriate measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Current safeguards include HTTPS encryption, access controls, database security controls, row-level security for applicable database information, and one-time-code verification for mobile numbers.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. We regularly consider reasonable safeguards based on the nature of the information processed and the risks involved.

9. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to be informed about processing; access your personal data; correct inaccurate or incomplete information; object to certain processing; withdraw consent where applicable; request erasure or blocking where permitted; request data portability where applicable; seek damages for unlawful processing where applicable; and file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.

9.1 HOW TO EXERCISE YOUR RIGHTS

To make a privacy request or raise a concern, contact Parqo’s Data Protection Officer, Jennie Estrada, at Jennie.Estrada@parqo.ph. You may be asked to provide information sufficient to verify your identity and understand your request. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.

10. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

Parqo currently uses a session cookie to help keep you signed in and maintain your session. Based on the current Platform setup, Parqo does not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

11. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Parqo’s Platform is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age, and users must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal data from someone under 18, we will take appropriate steps to delete or otherwise handle the information in accordance with applicable law.

12. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND WEBSITES

The Platform may use or connect with third-party services, including payment, hosting, communications, identity-verification, and other providers. Your use of a third-party service may also be subject to its own terms and privacy policy.

For example, payment processing may be provided by PayMongo. Information processed by a third-party provider may be subject to that provider’s own privacy practices and terms.

13. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the Platform, our data-processing practices, applicable law, or operational requirements. The Last Updated date indicates when it was most recently updated.

Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent for material changes. We may notify you through the Platform, by email, or through other electronic means associated with your account.
